Mornings are greeted with delicious pancake breakfasts, invigorating yoga sessions, scenic hikes, and relaxing massages. Evenings are a magical experience, offering breathtaking views of the starry sky and the symphony of chirping bullfrogs lulling guests to sleep.

4. Under Canvas Mount Rushmore in Keystone, South Dakota

Located at the base of Mount Rushmore, Under Canvas offers an upscale camping experience for exploring the Black Hills and the iconic carved faces of past presidents. This luxury campsite is situated on a historic gold mining settlement, blending a rich sense of history with high-end glamping vibes.

5. Alila Ventana Resort in Big Sur, California

In Big Sur, Alila Ventana offers a luxurious glamping experience in a 20-acre redwood canyon. Despite the region’s remote location, the resort features safari-style tents with plush beds, electric lamps, potable water, and USB power outlets. Guests can enjoy Adirondack chairs, fire pits, picnic tables, and a well-maintained bathhouse with restrooms and showers. 

The Spa Alila Day Pass includes a 50-minute massage or facial, a poolside entrée, a nonalcoholic beverage, and access to the meadow pool, infinity hot tub, and sauna. Fine dining is available at The Sur House, although some facilities are reserved for resort guests only.

6. The Resort at Paws Up in Greenough, Montana

The Resort at Paws Up is a pioneer in modern glamping, offering six exclusive camps, each with a unique experience. Solo travelers and couples will love the two-story Tree Haus at the adults-only retreat called the Green O. Large families will appreciate North Bank Camp’s three-bedroom and two-bathroom tents.

Guests can book individual tents or entire camps and bring their dogs along. With a dedicated camping butler, all-inclusive gourmet meals, and select activities included, the resort provides an exceptional experience. Additional activities like snowmobiling and hot air balloon rides are available for a fee. Paws Up operates from mid-May to mid-October, while the Green O is open year-round.

7. Klarhet in Lutsen, Minnesota

Klarhet, meaning “clarity” in Swedish, aims to offer just that to its glamping guests. Located on the shores of Lake Superior and surrounded by a regenerative food forest, Klarhet invites guests to tour its ecosystem. The property features four domes—Raidho, Dagaz, Laguz, and Berkanan—with night sky views and lush greenery. 

Each dome includes king and queen-sized beds, sustainably sourced cotton bedding, a large fan, a toilet, a custom rainfall shower, Public Goods bath amenities, Turkish bath linens, bathrobes, slippers, and a yoga mat. Amenities include a communal fire pit, board games, and snowshoes for local state park hikes.

8. Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo in River Ranch, Florida

When you think of the Sunshine State, you don’t necessarily think of glamping. Westgate River Ranch Resort guests can enjoy luxury accommodations with a private bathroom and kitchenette. Options include climate-controlled tents and the Luxe Conestoga Wagon, which sleeps up to six. Guests receive coffee and pastry deliveries each morning and access to a personal concierge. 

As the largest dude ranch east of the Mississippi, the resort offers airboat rides, horseback riding, archery, a petting farm, and a weekly rodeo. Guests who have reserved luxe accommodations enjoy nearly all-inclusive rates, covering activities and VIP rodeo tickets. Visitors find this relaxed resort a fun alternative to nearby Orlando theme parks.  

9. Ulum Moab in Moab, Utah

Nestled in the awe-inspiring Utah landscape, Ulum Moab provides a one-of-a-kind glamping experience that seamlessly combines luxury with the natural environment. El Cosmico in Marfa, Texas, is one of my favorite glamping spots in the US. The quaint desert oasis embodies the bohemian spirit that makes this tiny Texas town a hub of artistic expression. This unique retreat offers a range of accommodations, from Bushtec tents with furnished decks and outdoor showers to vintage trailers that intentionally lack Wi-Fi, encouraging digital detox. 

Each option at El Cosmico provides unspoiled views of the vast desert, inviting guests to immerse themselves fully in the tranquility of the serene landscape. Whether you’re seeking rustic luxury or a nostalgic escape, El Cosmico delivers an authentic, artistic experience under the expansive Texas sky.

11. Dunton River Camp in Dolores, Colorado

Located on 500 acres in the Colorado Rockies, Dunton River Camp offers an intimate retreat with only eight safari tents. Each tent is fixed to a 640-square-foot wooden platform equipped with a king-sized bed, gas stove, Wi-Fi, two mountain bikes, a private bathroom with a soaker tub and shower, and a towel warmer.

Guests can choose tents with views of the Dolores River or the mountains. The nightly rates for two guests include all meals and beverages, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic, making it an all-inclusive experience.

12. Sinya on Lone Man Creek in Wimberley, Texas

Indulge in the exclusivity of Sinya on Lone Man Creek, a glamping retreat inspired by Tanzania and named after a Kenyan baby elephant. Nestled on a ridge, this treehouse-like retreat offers breathtaking views of Lone Man Creek. With only one tent designed to accommodate two guests, it provides an intimate experience, ensuring exclusivity without isolation.

The tent features country-style furnishings, a king-sized bed with goose-down pillows, a sofa, a kitchenette, a claw-foot tub, bathrobes, and Turkish towels. While outdoors, guests enjoy five furnished lounging areas, including a deck with a hot tub and shower. This spot makes the perfect romantic getaway.

13. Lakedale in San Juan Island, Washington

Located on San Juan Island, off the coast of Washington state, Lakedale offers year-round glamping that can only be accessed by ferry or floatplane. Accommodations feature yurts with king beds, sleeper sofas, en suite bathrooms, wet bars, fridges, TVs, skylights, indoor/outdoor seating, and private decks with hot tubs.

The canvas cabins or cottages can comfortably accommodate up to six guests during the summer, providing various stay options. Additionally, they offer a range of complimentary on-site activities such as lawn games, bike rentals, and water sports on three spring-water lakes, ensuring there’s never a dull moment.
